Welcome to our preschool! If you have a child between the ages of 2 through 4 years old, and are interested in preschool, please contact us so that we may further help you.
Statement of Purpose is to help each child feel good about him or herself as a child of God while preparing him or her for future experiences in school. Through free-choice interest-center activities as well as structured activities (both indoor and outdoor) we wish to help each child develop his/her potential; socially, emothionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.
Curriculum
Based on the interest and needs of the children.
Teachers seek to give depth to learning, set limits which insure good social living and guide the child he/she explores and discovers their world.
A relaxed program which allows children to choose activities that will build sound relationships with others,encourage initiative and self-help in play.
Helps each child express him/herself creatively through art media and music.
Activities are all developmentally appropriate and with advisement from the public school kindergarten staff.
Enrollment Eligibility
Parents' Morning Out
Children entering Parents' Morning Out in the fall must be two years old by August 1st. Classes for those who turn two by August 1 are offered PMO either one or two days a week - mornings only. PMO children do not have to be toilet trained.
3 and 4 year old Class
Children entering Preschool in the fall must be three years old by August 1st. Classes for those who turn three before August 1 are offered preschool two days a week either mornings or afternoons.
Pre-K Class
Children entering Preschool in the fall must be four years old by August 1st. Classes for those who turn four before August 1 are offered preschool either 2 days, 3 days or 4 days a week. Classes are offered either in the morning or afternoon.
Registration
Registration begins in April for St. Matthew UMC Church members and the current patrons of the preschool. Registration will open to the public in May and remain open until all classes are filled. A waiting list will then be established. There is a non-refundable registration fee per child, payable at the time of registration.
Tuition
Tuition is due on the 15th of each month starting in August and the last payment received is April 15th. Families pre-pay for their preschool service.
