Welcome to St. Matthew Community Preschool
We are delighted to share that we have been serving families since 1976. St. Matthew Preschool is a Unlicensed Registered Ministry with the State of Indiana and recently we were awarded being a Level 3 of Paths To Quality. Level 3 PTQ simply states we have received the highest acknowledgement of programs that have demonstrated the knowledge and skill necessary for planning appropriate activities and opportunities that lead children toward school readiness. Level 3 programs have made a significant investment in the professional development of the staff, and they incorporate family and staff input into the program. St. Matthew Preschool currently accepts the CCDF Vouchers and On My Way PreK dollars. We hope you will give us the opportunity to start the path of Early Childhood which will lay a foundation for your child for the public schools.
Statement of Purpose
We wish to help each child feel good about himself as a child of God while preparing him for future experiences in school. Through free-choice interest-center activities as well as structured activities (both indoor and outdoor) we wish to help each child develop his/her potential socially, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.
Enrollment Eligibility
Parents Morning Out - A child must be 2 by Aug. 1, 2023 & does not have to be potty trained.
3's Class - A child must be 3 by Aug. 1, 2023 and potty trained.
PreK - A child must be 4 by Aug. 1, 2023 and potty trained.
Registration
Online registration for the 2023-2024 preschool year will take place on May 1st. Please call the preschool regarding enrolling your child for the 2023/24 preschool year. Registration remains open as long as there are vacancies. Follow us on Facebook: St. Matthew Preschool Frankfort page.

St. Matthew Preschool: Level 3 PTQ
St. Matthew Community Preschool has achieved a Level 3 rating in Paths to QUALITY™. Paths to QUALITY is Indiana’s quality rating and improvement system for child care programs. It is a consistent set of standards to help parents identify licensed family child care centers, licensed family child care homes, and unlicensed registered ministries that have met state requirements for health and safety.
Paths to QUALITY is a voluntary statewide system created to improve the quality of child care and early education for children. It gives all families a tool to find the best quality program for their needs, and supports and recognizes providers on a four-level rating system. The system has been studied and validated by the Child Development and Family Studies experts at Purdue University.
St. Matthew Community Preschool has been providing preschool to Clinton County since 1976. It is their goal to continue to provide a safe and happy environment for all children under their care as they continue to provide a stepping stone to a child’s education.
